So if Sony ever came up with XB2000s, they will essentially be speakers mounted on a cushion?

I am doing some early testing for the XB2000's, lol.  basshead.gif  basshead.gif  Not as comfy as the earlier models, though. biggrin.gif

 

But I do plan to buy the XB1000's when they are released.

EDIT: This isn't XB1000 but I happened to see this when browsing youtube in case there would be any XB1000 vids http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EHqsn8Qme_s&feature=related - man those drivers really do move a lot with bass... would perhaps move more too if the housing didn't restrict it. :p

That video they are over driving those drivers But damn do they get moving! The 70mm Drivers should be able to reach sub sonic frequencies substantionalty well un less the make the diaphram really tight.  They will move some air if the tightness of the driver is the same.

These look awesome. I like how the XB500s sounded, but I wanted more clarity, more punch, and a better overall frequency. But these series of cans are awesome because they go where most other cans fear to tread.
