Cheers, chinesekiwi! That's the right attitude to take - give credit where credit is due. I've avoided trying the Monster IEMs because I'm not a fan on their headphones, but I've seen enough positive reviews to try them next time I get a chance. If they're good, they're good. Maybe some praise will get them to release an audiophile-grade headphone.
Still, I don't blame them for selling the Beats, et al. They make a segment of consumers happy and are profitable. That's business. I just wish they'd find an economic reason to manufacture a high-end headphone. Same goes for Bose and Skullcandy. If they made something good, I'd listen to it. I have headphones from Sennheiser, AKG, Grado, Beyerdynamic, Sony, Audio-Technica, and Stax. If another manufacturer makes a good headphone, I'll take interest.
And, yeah, Mr. Lee needs the Segway. I thought it was eccentric at CanJam '09 when he came, but later learned that he needs it. I like to see those with medical conditions getting out and about, so I'm happy he can get around.
I'll reserve my comments about Monster's litigation... I have strong opinions about appropriate use of the legal system.
