Hi guys,
I want to know if it is good/possible to use Martin Logan Purity speakers with my computer.
I have bookshelf speakers but feel I need more power and more soundstage from my speakers so I looked into the Martin Logans, and they seem perfect because they already have power in them, and you simply connect with RCA cables.
However, the problem is that each speaker takes in two RCA cords (one black, one red). And usually DACs or Amps for headphones with Preamps have only one dual rca preamp-out output.
So I was wondering... Will it work if I get something like a DAC1 or Lavry DA11 or Grace M902 and get a Dual RCA -> XLR cable and connect the speakers through each of the Balanced outputs?
Sorry if this is confusing but basically... I would plug the XLR cable into one of the balanced outputs on the DAC, then the other side of that cable would be a dual RCA which goes into one speaker. Then do the same thing for the other speaker.
Does that allow for a good sound? Or am I completely thinking of this wrong? Is it even smart to have these type of speakers on a computer setup?
Let me know!
Thanks.
