Can't find a replacement adapter for the Sennheiser HD555's. Help!

Thread Starter

So, recently I lost my 1/4" to 1/8" adapter for my Sennheiser HD555's.

It looks like this thing right here:

26-106-392-S08?$S640W$

So, after being unable to find a piece like it at Sam Ash (which baffled my mind why they wouldn't carry it) I went to Radio Shack. There I bought this:

And the 1/4" plug did not plug all-the-way into the adapter. It only plugged in about 3/4 of the way, and ended up only playing sound through one ear when I connected it to my soundcard in my computer.

Can anyone refer me to an adapter just like the Sennheiser one so I can finally get computer use of my Sennheiser's back?? Preferably at a retail store so I can go and pick it up.

Thanks.

I use the grado adapter. It has about 2-3" of cable between the connectors and reduces A LOT of stress on the output jack of the source

Try pushing it the rest of the way in. Its should click in and work fine. I did the same exact thing when I first got mine. It will go the rest of the way in.
