Ok, so these are listed on ebay now. Are they officially out already?

Thanks for the link to the video mate. Would have been nice if they'd spend more time showing the cans though instead of the dude. He didn't even wear them!

So now...

How long until the price drops?  Don't know if I can justify a different flavor of an SRH840 at 300 big ones

IIRC, the 840 was available for much cheaper than its MSRP shortly after its launch. I read partway through the one really long appreciation/impression thread, and people frequently got the 840 for around $120. Shure is one of those companies that doesn't let sellers display prices below a certain lower limit--but that doesn't stop retailers from charging whatever they wish. I expect that, if you know where to look (and how to ask and which codes to use), you'll be able to get a 940 for a lot cheaper than $300.

i still think shure is a really respectable company and makes excellent products.

i am patiently waiting on the 940.

but i cant buy it this year as my new years resolution was to buy no headphones this year. i highly doubt i will be able to keep that resolution.

The hardcase makes me think of the Ultrasone Pro series and how they lay down in the case.

Take up smoking and make it your resolution to quit. It makes more sense IMO...

Gotcha. I was just a little confused.

Anybody able to confirm one way or the other all these sightings we keep hearing about? As I understand it, Jude's sample is pre-production. Unless Jude just told us about it now and had had his sample for a while, it's suspicious that all these places are listing them.

I asked crazydavesmusic the day the first 940s appeared on ebay about the item and I haven't heard back
