Selling my introduction to the world of "real" headphones, which I do believe I purchased from this very forum a few years ago. They've been through a lot, and cosmetically they are not perfect, but overall I have taken good care of them since I got them. Probably a couple hundred hours on them by now, would be my estimate...not a lot, as I much prefer speakers to headphones, but I did use them pretty often for gaming after I got a loud graphics card.
The fabric on the band is kind of bunching up at the end, which is how I originally bought them. Nothing too bad, though.

I did a little "experiment" with them...the black fabric covering the drivers (not the thick piece of foam directly covering the drivers sometimes taken off by people, I did not touch that) has been removed, originally stitched onto the stock pads...and, well, after I was done with my little experiment, I secured the fabric back over the drivers with a couple pieces of scotch tape...not the most elegant solution, but to my ears they don't sound noticeably different. You'll see in the picture that piece of fabric might not appear completely flat...well, that's because when I was removing it from the pads with a pair of scissors I was not very careful and when I was taping it back on I was also not too careful...you could probably tape it on much nicer! But, honestly, it has given me no problems. You'll notice in the picture the pad looks kind of cracked...well, it's pleather, and it's a few years old, showing its age - still comfortable, especially since they're a few years old and head clamp isn't as much of an issue anymore. I've heard people recommend to buy some leather beyer DT770 pads to make 'em more comfortable, so you might want to look into that. would also probably solve the little fabric problem, I'm thinking beyer pads probably come with that fabric already stitched onto 'em.
and, finally, the reason I fell in love with these in the first place, aside from how great they sound, is the color...probably a love it or hate it kinda thing, but hey!
Because of the share of cosmetic problems (but lack of sound quality problems!), I'm going to go ahead and ask $sold, shipped CONUS, paypal. I'm also asking you to give them a good home! Please don't let your dog chew on them, they are my first headphones and I'm pretty sad about letting them go! But, I grow bored...
Trading: I will accept a pair of HD555s...will add $ to make it fair, if need be! I'm also really interested in AD700s, so if you happen to be reading this, I'll trade for them or just buy them straight up.
