Oi-yoh!

Man that is completely unacceptable. I'd be making some very angry phone calls to whoever sent those back to you. I hope Beyer steps up and gives you satisfaction.

^ yea calling angrily will probably handle it. After all the person who scratched your headphone is the person who is most likely to answer the 1-800 number right? tongue.gif

Is the point to get revenge or get your headphones replaced?

Yep, you likely can't smack the moron who did it upside the head. That doesn't mean you should roll over and take it. angry_face.gif

In my experience, the squeaky wheel gets customer service satisfaction far more easily than the politely deferential wheel. And I know whereof I speak -> I'm Canadian. biggrin.gif

I am from Malaysia and I don't know if there's any beyerdynamic authorised repair centre here or not. I went through Jaben, where I bought my phones. I really hope beyerdynamic will do something. Sad, really to have cosmetic damage such as this. Thanks for the support guys, I'll try to email beyerdynamic myself and see what they say. smily_headphones1.gif

Check the Malaysian retailer, if not maybe you can try asking the Singapore one?

Is the disparity between amping and unamping the phones that vast? I plan to pair the Beyers with my (unamped) X Walkman and Clip players. Are you guys satisfied with the quality of the phones when coupled with unamped portable sources?

I can say that the DT1350 sounds good on a Cowon C2 and Clip+. However, there are noticeable improvements when I plugged mine into a friend's O2 amp. It's not vast at all, but it's a noticeable improvement.

Thanks for the reply. Would you recommend it solely for unamped mobile listening? I own an amp but I find that adding it to the repertoire adds a lot of bulk.

^I use it primarily with my Sanza Clip Zip on the go. Sounds great.

Of course. IMO they are the best portable cans I've heard, beating both the hd25 and M80, which aren't slouches and I like them a lot. I haven't heard the amperior so I can't say anything about that. As others have already mentioned, they are already good without an amp, and become better with one.

I use them almost exclusively with my iPhone, only occasionally at home with a Leckerton amp (digital input from a computer). By no means do they sound bad driven by an iPhone. I'd say its about as good as it gets for a mobile headphone. And as a nice bonus the even scale with an amp ;-)

I agree.  The DT 1350 is very efficient.  I use it at work and when outdoors, plugged into a Sanza Clip+.  They provide great isolation and sound amazingly good on the Clip's 55mW amplifier.

Add an amp and you'll get improved dynamics and bass, but without an amp, I've never heard better, myself, except with IEMs.

Yup contacted the Malaysian retailer. Hope they could do something.

One a side note, i use my dt1350's unamped. Never tried amping but i do find some differences. On my galaxy with voodoo, there's a good amount of mid bass but on the iPod they are gone. I think I'm gonna get nwvguy's objective 2. Any thoughts guys? Will the soundstage improve?
