I auditioned the SRH-1840 straight out of the box, and was unsatisfied with the sound, so I decided to give them a period of break-in. Recent scientific studies have shown definite differences...

I didn't think of TEAC when I began searching for a dedicated CD player. My initial short list included Denon, Cambridge, Marantz, Onkyo. The Teac intrigued me, so I went for it. It is very...

I just received my SigPros (bought from a fellow head-fi'er), and now have several hours with them. They are great headphones. Agree with most of what everyone's saying about them. These...

Right now, I'll just say that the thing is escalating over there. But of course I don't dare giving any more info regarding this thing.

Long story short. I know something about a company. I can put all that here on Head-Fi, it concerns a certain portable player maker. That company is based in the USA. I am in Canada.
What are the chances of me getting sued? I'm not a whistleblower since I do not work for that company. All this info is posted on some other websites.
I'm not a lawyer. Is this a privately or publically owned company? If it's publically owned, maybe you can contact the shareholders and institute a shareholder derivative against the board. This way you can avoid getting directly involved in the suit aside from being a witness. You won't be in court, as it'll probably go to an independent arbitrator. Another route may be to inform a federal regulatory agency or the state's attorney's general office. That's all I got.

If you make a pos asserting that company X is defrauding customers, etc., then you could get in trouble. Saying that company X is suing individual Y for making defamatory statements is different. That's a statement of fact about a public event. Same as a news report.
I would not repeat the allegations just to be safe. But if you mentioned just the lawsuit, everyone can run searches, find information on their own, and read up.

OK. The whole lawsuit thing is based on posts under the name of the company's CEO and posts of that "first guy". There are no links to anything.
I don't know whether I should say more to clear some things up, because if I do, you will all know which company it is. I can't give you a link to those threads and posts because everything is way too obvious, and if somebody sees this stuff on Head-Fi and reports me (or head-Fi itself), then...

Can you just post the title of the case or the name of the company? People can Google the rest.
