The sr 009 are my favorite in terms of looks.

The buttoned RS-1s have always been an attraction for me.

They do sound great. What do you mean you wish they sounded great?

With it I mean I wish they have more warmth and do not pierce my ears that much.

Seriously, my Denon D5000s are bright-ish at times, but these AKG's sore my ears instantly with classical music, due to their spikey high-mids.

Wow, you must listen to music quite loud. I thought the K550 was one of the more soft sounding headphones.

Loud? No not at all.

I think I'm starting to believe people actually do hear differently.

I found the midrange to be a tad recessed. I've auditioned it about 5 times over the past year, but another listen in future can't hurt. I'll try out some classical next time.

I listen to music quite very loud and while i have noticed this flaw, it seems miniscule to me

Actually quite good... basically open-backed meets basshead, with plenty of detail and control.

EDIT: That actually might have been the L1, I'm not sure.
