Urg, fluorescent pink. Sorry, but that's just not for me. Maybe if the leather were black. :3

Personally, I like the ESS Mark 1 AMT headphones. There's just something about them that attracts me.

EDIT: That's not my ESS Mark 1. I wish it was.

Better? (I think these have a more professional look, but not sexy at all...)

Haha, I just despise all fluorescent colours, whether on headphones or something else. It's just a pet peeve of mine :p

Now I just have to post this.

But in all seriousness, it's probably not the best idea to let this thread become as random (and awesome) as that one.

I think I remember almost buying them off you. I was weighing up Sig Pros vs Sig DJs at the time (and obviously went with Sig DJs, second hand hardly used, got them a few months ago).

I can't fathom why so many people write Ultrasone off, often without even trying them (or trying a low end or highly polarising model like Pro900).

Why'd you sell the Ed8s if you loved them? Just to try something new I guess like always with this hobby?

I just sold my TH600s (to my friend at least I know he will get good use out of them and enjoy them). But only 'caus I'm moving overseas and they're a bit fragile.

I'm still keen to try some Sig Pros... or once I've moved maybe grab some TH900s and a decent amp :D

Damn these are so nice..just had a look on the site. They're quite limited, to be honest it'd probably be worth the premium. I liked the carbon ones but they were a bit understated, didn't like the classic (caus of the brown i think), but these are perfect. I still can't bring myself to ever buy on-ear headphones ever again though, especially ones with tiny little pads like these.

OT:

Pioneer Monitor 10-II. Industrial design x retro x class. I have no idea how it makes a combination like that look good, but it does. The cups have leather strung over them, the yoke assembly is champagne metal, and they have dual suspension headbands. And damn, is it sexy on the head:

Sounds about 10x as good as it looks, too.

Sold them to fund another purchase. In retrospect wish I still had them as they were the best portable I've owned with my Arrow 3G. Maybe some day but they rarely show up on the for sale boards and usually for way more than I feel the value they bring.

1

Philips Fidelio X1
(Imho near-perfect combination of shapes/texture/material/color. Hard to get better than that but I would prefer very-dark-brown velour pads to match headband)

2

AKG K701 (grey/white/silver/brown leather - kind of harmonious luxury/classic combination, but same time modern and pop.

Without that brown headband I wouldn`t like it)

3

Beyerdynamic T1 (Very stylish but same time laid-back design. Mesh + cutout Y`s + headband - materials/texture is all about that design)

4

Audeze LCD-2 (because of that headband system it gets 4th place but same time I also like that little retro-looking headband)

Shure SRH-1840 (Simple, modern and sleek design. Nothing standing out but same time little hint of "luxurious sound". Reminds me modern Maserati luxury-sports car)

6

Philips CityScape UpTown (Simple yet modern look with little hint of luxury)

Just updating list. Had not seen those before:biggrin:
