Meier, Audio-GD, or other amp and dac for DT990/250 05 Ed.

Hey guys,

Its time for me to upgrade my DAC and Amp.  I'm currently using a Total BitHead as my amp and dac both.  I like the sound, but I really need my DT990's as well as my other headphones to shine.  This purchase will be geared towards making the DT990's sound the best that they can.  Also, keep in mind I plan on purchasing a pair of T1's in the future as well.  I love the beyer sound signature, so I'm hoping to retain that.

My two possible set ups to purchase are:

Meier Corda StageDAC --> Meier Corda Concerto = $1240 + cables

or

Audio-gd NFB-2 DAC --> Audio-gd C-2 = $800 + cables

Audio-gd NFB-1 DAC --> Audio-gd C-2SA = $1080 + cables

I know that the Meier Corda products are very appealing to the Beyer sound.  I'm wondering if the same goes for Audio-gd products?

- Which one of these set ups would be superior to the DT990's and to the T1's?

- Is there a superior set up for no more than $1300?

- Whats the biggest difference between the NFB-1 and NFB-2 DAC's?  Is it worth double the cost?

- I don't really want to go into tubes, at least for now I'd like to keep it all solid state.

Thanks guys.

I guess feel free to post tube combo's with dacs to use as well... since no one seems to have any ideas for solid state set ups...

What did you decide on? Are you happy with your purchase, or are you still waiting / considering your options?
