I was never a real blues fan until a friend recommended "Damn Right I Got The Blues" while shopping at Harvard Square's Coop in the early 1990's. Until then I did enjoy some bluesy rock, but Buddy Guy's blues hit me like a thunderbolt. I finally "got the blues" ;)
I particularly enjoyed "Where the Blues Begins with Carlos Santana, "Stay Around A Little Longer" with B.B. King, and "74 Years Young" where Buddy convinced me he still has got it.
I'll be listening to my Buddy Guy collection all week now.
