This quick review is done after a few hours of listening. I bought them from B&H for the decent sum of 150$. If you've done your research you'll find out that Ultrasone HPs are known for their...

I auditioned the SRH-1840 straight out of the box, and was unsatisfied with the sound, so I decided to give them a period of break-in. Recent scientific studies have shown definite differences...

I didn't think of TEAC when I began searching for a dedicated CD player. My initial short list included Denon, Cambridge, Marantz, Onkyo. The Teac intrigued me, so I went for it. It is very...

Any of the listed LODs will perform just as well as each other
The ones at the bottom of the page offer significantly better value.
All that the various makers can offer you are claims suggesting better quality sound, none can show any evidence that that is really the case.

I've been using the FIIO L3, listed near the bottom of the page of the previous poster's link, for over a year now. It replaced my L1, which is even cheaper, and I did not notice any difference in sound quality. The difference was in build quality as the L1 only lasted about 6 or so months before it became unusable; one of the connections got flaky. The L3 was is more solid, it gets used every day and twisted this way and that and has pulled through.
As for the more expensive ones, a buddy of mine has one that he paid about 5X more than I did for the L3, but I can't tell the difference with my m50s. Maybe the build quality is better though and it will outlast my L3.
pros

viablue plug is good
cons
