I have some fancy earbuds whose right ear phone functions only sporadically.  It will work if I push the right-phone wire into the casing, just above the male jack.

Because I use the earbuds when mountain biking on rugged terrain, I assume this means that the wire has frayed or broken internally, so that it requires re-connection.

Is this difficult?  Are there kits?  The warranty no longer applies, but how much might it cost?

They are an expensive pair and I love the quality, but don't want to get new ones for so simple a problem.

Any suggestions?

Thanks, Rob
