monster turbine real vs fake comparison needed

hello,

I need to know if my monster turbines are real or fake. I bought them off amazon.com.

Also, i am planning on selling these so some people are asking about its genuinity.

So can someone tell me the difference with pics if possible?

I am ready to upload pics of my earphones if required.

thanks

Can you upload some pics? Without them we cant tell u if its fake or real. Look for the build quality instead of just the audio quality as there were fake ATH M50s on ebay sometime ago that went for 70 dollars but had real drivers so they still sounded like the real thing.

If you bought them directly from Amazon.com and not some third party seller selling their wares on the site, then they are definitely real. Amazon is the most legit and trustworthy company I know of and I do a ton of online and B&M shopping. They have the most excellent customer service around. Now if you bought from say BillyJoeHick or something, that leaves a lot of room for the possibility of fakes.

Edit: Hmm looking at the product page for the Turbines on Amazon, they seem to have run into some problems of their own.

like others said if they are from amazon not a third party , they are real

its hard to tell from your pics, i usally can tell without even opening the package, i recently got some fake turbines

i will tell  you this, fake ones have different box, its bigger,  real one has normal paper box, but fake one has a fancy box like thr turbine pros

fake ones' boxes are scaned and reprinted so picture lacks detail, really blur

as for the phone, all the letters printed on the earpieces, jack and y cord are diffferent

we need more pics just like the chinese link

假 or 仿 is fake.   真 means real

have fun

It's hard to tell. But i looked at the magnet thing for the pouch and i dont have it on mine. So, maybe mine is real. But then there is a number "rm 172xxx" on the white slide out cover and there is a different number "rm 176xxx" on the black box itself.

Does that mean anything? Also, the clip where you hang it on the shelf on a hook stick out from the middle of the box.

thanks alot

To be truthful with you mate, the turbines look very similar to what I have, and I can tell you that my earphones are real. The mesh is the same, the blue stripe is the same, the "Turbine" placement is the same, and the 3.5mm jack is the same. So like the other individuals said it's hard to tell just by the pictures you sent. Many chinese knock-offs are literally verbatim to the actual thing. From the 3.5mm jack to the materials used to make the mesh. More pictures would need to be supplied if you really want to be sure. Box pictures, accessory pictures, and the sorts.

P.S.: My pouch has no visible magnetic snap. Some of the pouch's have a magnetic snap that they put on purses. (I think my Miles Davis Tribute headphone pouch has this snap)

BTW: All the descriptions you described are basically the same descriptions that I can describe from my experience. The tab, the box, the pouch, the headphones. So maybe it is real... But the only real way to tell is to compare it to a really real pair from best buy or amazon... oh wait...

not to be rude, i dont understand why you keep bumping the thread

the reason people dont response is you dont give us more detail and more pics

no one can tell you if they are real or fake if you dont provide details and very very detailed pictures

i think the person who did the comparison mixed up one of the pictures, both my turbines and turbines pros have the same thing that is put on top of the accessories. in this case, the "fake" one is the one i have :(

I had fake turbines, they sounded very similar, if not better than the Beats Tours. Its really easy to tell. Get the earphones out, check the filters. If they're sunken in, they're fakes.

Also, the box of fakes is SMALLER and is made of paper, and not hard cardboard. The carry case should be pretty roughly made.

Note: In both reals and fakes there are products with different length L&R cable.
