Freedb2 server problem with Foobar?

Starting about a week ago, I can no longer access the Freedb2 server to tag my disks while ripping FLACs.  I'm using the latest Foobar.

I have searched the site and can't find any answers or suggestions to fic.  I uninstalled Foobar and reinstalled with all components (including Freedb) but still cannot access the Freedb2 server for any CDs

Any suggestions?

If you're using 1.1.1 the fix is in 1.1.2 beta2 currently, you might want to install a temporary portable install to test whether your problem is fixed.

I'll try that.  Thanks.

Are you having problems with accessing the Freedb2 server?

Well, I rarely use it, nearly all artists I listen to are from Japan indie circles that most of the time their new albums are not on freedb2. I'm always on the bleeding edge with foobar though, so I have read the change logs.

I noticed it too about a week ago.  I use 1.0 and 1.1 on another machine and it is doing it as well.  I have been using foo_discogs in the meantime.
