New Miles Davis Trumpet (not Tribute) earphones - Page 19

Yes. For as long you have the receipt from an authorized dealer, if the replacement fails for the same reason 100 times or 100 times with a different reasons, it's replaced 100 times for as long Monster carries the model or equivalent, but only as long as the fail reason is deemed a defect, which most are classified as such.  The one time at fault warranty applies only if you decide to feed them to your dog on purpose, or any other purposeful reason that does not fall under manufacture defects.

The reality is that most people don't use the same IEM for 5-6 years.  Monster marketing knows this regardless how crappy built some models have been proven to be.

Thanks Alphaphoenix for that detailed answer.  Really makes me think about getting a pair from Bestbuy.  I know I probably wouldn't want to  use this iem for 5 or 6 years, iem technology seems to be advancing fast compared to speaker technology.  But it's reassuring to know that if they crap out, it would be replaced with another pair or trumpets or the equivalent level of IEM (assuming Monster still makes some models of good headphones)

could any users of the trumpets and/or coppers/miles davis tributes compare the two?

I just called monster for a RMA replacement of my coppers and they said it was out of stock so I asked to exchange the coppers for the trumpets instead.. not sure how this will go but oh well

Could anyone compare these to VSONIC GR07s?

Thanks so much!

Is the back of the control talk pod supposed to say tribute?  Weird that the trumpets would have the name of a different set of headphones on it control talk pod,

Just gave these a quick listen. Coming from the Coppers these are more musical, warmer and sweeter sounding. They are also way more comfortable and easier to insert with their much smaller form factor.

I've only recently got these and haven't really had much time to listen to them, but they really do sound amazing. Also have the Tributes on hand and it's hard to say which one I prefer more just yet. Will listen to them more and A/B the Miles Davis lineup.

IMO, I think Monster approaches them as the trumpet version of the Miles Davis tribute line.  Hence the MD tribute branding on the velvet box and control talk.  The carrying cases are the same as the Tributes so it prob was just easier on manufacturing..

Trumpets are Tributes or Tribute Trumpets.  =P  Same soft case and similar box, etc.  Anything w/ the MD name will be a Tribute piece as the family/estate gets royalties from the use of the name.

Ah thanks Anaxilus and Jpizzzle!  I didn't think they were fake since I got them at Bestbuy, but maybe a manufacturer error or something.  Makes sense that all MD lines would be considered Tributes.... not to mention cheaper manufacturing cost to have one line of parts for both headphones.  Thanks again.

Take off the ear tips and the drivers design look awfully like CC51, except the price is five times over cc51...
