ATH-M50 purchase help needed.

I've been online shopping for the ATH-M50's. And I've found plenty $130 and less with free shipping, but the problem is that every single pair is the coiled cable version. Does anyone know of any trusted online retailers with a straight cable version $130 and under? Thanks so much for your help!

Looks like straight cable version is on sale whereas the coiled version is back-ordered. I waited about 3 weeks in December for the straight cable version. Coming form B&H you know it's genuine and fast, free shipping!

Thank you everyone! Those are all great sites. I hope to finalize the purchase soon, and finally become a (very) beginner audiophile! beyersmile.png

Be advised that these aren't really all that impressive out of the box.  I had to let mine burn-in significantly before a smile appeared on my face.  Happy listening, bro.

How many hours would you say? Mine should get here either tomorrow or the next day.

Most put appropriate break-in at 25-50 hours.

Don't worry about pink noise or the like. Just play a variety of music. Many recommend off-head at just above normal listening level.

Enjoy.

I've heard as much as 200 hours, but I let mine burn-in for about 5 days straight (endless repeat of trance slightly above comfortable listening levels) and I was already plenty happy with the result.  They get better with subsequent listening, so I guess you can say they're still burning in.
