Headphone Amp Help Badly Needed

Hey Masters of the Audio World...

 

Feelingit7 here, and baby born new to this!

 

Here goes...I currently have an Apple Mac Desktop with a pair of Senn HD 650's. Would like to enhance my music file listening ability.

Some suggested the MF V-Can since I like the boom every know and then. Can I purchase the V-Independantly? Or would I need the V-Can and V-Dac for correct building?

 

All other suggestions welcome for my start-up...

 

Thanks, and feels pretty good for such a Big Step amongst all the pro stuff reviewed in this forum!!!

Welcome wayfarer. Open your wallet and let us spend for you. Of course we will be sorry for your wallet. evil_smiley.gif

 

An outboard DAC will sound better for many reasons but unless you want to go at it "full monty", get an amp first.

 

Edit: Yes you can purchase the amp separate if that is your question.

Squeezing the TEARS from the Benjamins while giving it thought...OK, so "full monty" it is.

 

I plan on purchasing Music Fidelity's V-Dac and V-Can for starters with my HD 650. Wishfully I'm on the right path...
