I have been thinking for a long time about buying a Duracell / Xantrex PowerSource Mobile 100 for my ASUS N61JV-X2 notebook PC. While I am on the go, I find it difficult to get to an AC power outlet to power my laptop or recharge my lithium ion battery after usage. This product has been recommended to me by a friend that owns one for a different laptop.

 

Does anyone here own it? If so, then what are your opinions?

 

I will be buying mine from Amazon for $169.99 USD. It is a bit expensive, but it could provide me with an additional 90 minutes of life and it can charge two USB 1.1 or 2.0 devices as well. It also serves as a battery charger and it can power a laptop in a car or on an airplane as well. It does not work to power a laptop while connected to an AC power outlet while in usage.

 

What do you guys think?

I decided against buying this product because the reviews are terrible and it is no longer being manufactured anymore.
