My new web app, for listening to music with friends

Hi guys,

I'm in the process of developing a new web app called Listening Room. It's a web site for listening to music with friends: you get a few people in a virtual room, each of you adds songs to a playlist, and everybody hears the current song at the same time.

Here's the site: http://listeningroom.fettig.net/. You can pick any name to create a new room.

It's a work in progress so you'll probably into a few bugs. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks for checking it out!

That's a really cool idea!

Edit: wow it even supports .flac

Thanks!

One technical note: you can upload files in a large number of formats, but .flac and other non-mp3 files get transcoded to 256kbs mp3 for streaming. Unfortunately that's a necessity for reliable cross-browser playback.

I figured it would be down converted, but 256 mp3 is not bad at all.
