AMP for 500$ PLEASE HELP - Page 3

what usually happens.. or i should say what happened with me, and seems to happen with many others, is you buy stuff, then you sell it on head-fi, or trade it for other stuff, and this goes on into infinity...

but seriously, i bought and sold many rigs before i found what i liked.. and then sold it ;-)... but seriously.. sometimes owning something for a while and getting to know what you like by trying/trading/buying other gear is the only way to figure out what you like.  you almost never get it right on the first try, and even then.. curiosity is a powerful beast

If you want a very good amp that is also portable and can drive your HD600s very well, the upcoming Ibasso PB2 looks very good. Here is the thread: http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/528149/ibasso-pb-2-the-pelican-fully-balanced-portable-with-sockets-for-changing-op-amps-and-buffers

Here is the thread for the previous version, the PB1, which is also highly regarded: http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/499184/ibasso-boomslang-and-toucan-balanced-portable-dac-and-amp-silver-and-black-pg-1-19-25-26

There is also a DAC that connects to it. Here is the website for the product, I am linking you to the cable they sell for your HD600s that make them balanced so they can work as well as possible with the balanced PB2 above: http://ibasso.com/en/products/show.asp?ID=65#

I hope this helps.

I've always been a fan of the Gilmore Lite at that price point. Works exceptionally well for Sennheiser from my experience.
