I've actually learned quite a bit from video games, they can be a useful medium like any other. (The "wasting time" argument can be easily applied to watching movies, listening to music, surfing the internet, or reading books as well) Genres like role playing and adventure are basically interactive novels/films for people with ADD, and action/puzzle/first person shooters can be great for improving hand-eye coordination and quick-thinking. If it weren't for games, I may have given it to my sick twisted desires and committed acts of atrocity unrivaled in this century or any other.
