PM message indicator appears, the disappears quickly?

This has happened three times now.  It's not aggravating, just curious.  

 

Every so often, when loading a new page, (say in a thread) I get a brief 1 new message, and then it disappears before I even have time to click on it, or if I'm fast enough, when my PM page loads, there is no message.

huh...interesting, mods screwing with you again? :D

No, they don't screw around, they kill.  it's just some harmless glitch I would think.

kboe, what OS and browser (and version) are you using?  I'd like to try an recreate this one.

kboe, what version of Safari?  (You can find this by clicking on the Settings drop-down menu (symbolized by a gear) and selecting "About Safari".
