Is this thing too dated to even consider? I found one for $100. I'm mostly interested in something with a lot of storage and excellent audio quality.

I auditioned the SRH-1840 straight out of the box, and was unsatisfied with the sound, so I decided to give them a period of break-in. Recent scientific studies have shown definite differences...

I didn't think of TEAC when I began searching for a dedicated CD player. My initial short list included Denon, Cambridge, Marantz, Onkyo. The Teac intrigued me, so I went for it. It is very...

It's not worth $100, you can buy a great player for $100, like a sansa clip+ with a 32gb card
Ask $30 for it at most
Also, a HD PMP will always fail on you. Hds fail even in the box. I bought three Zune 120s with all of them failing on me because of the hard drive. If the player is older, it's a higher risk
IF you need a medium capacity player, buy a sansa clip+ 8gb, look up how to rockbox it, and buy a 32gb card. It will deliver music to you in a great way.
Extra info: I bought a Zen xtra 30gb, perfectly untouched with everything including the box a couple month ago for $30. I tried to update the firmware and it bricked on me, oh well.
