Hello

I'd like to get some nice gear for music, and I've been hesitating between the two types of gear mentionned above... What could be the best? my intuition says it's the second (that I would connect to my Macbook), but i wanna be sure.

thanks in advance!

You need to figure out stuff before you make a purchase..

What is your budget? Do you want to use headphones or do you want to use speakers?

Even 20$ sony headphones have studio monitors printed on them.

If you buy a dacmagic then you will need an amp to power you headphones.
