EML 5U4G Mesh Plate Where to Buy?

I want to buy a new EML 5U4G rectifier tube. 

 

Is $230 the best price out there for a US buyer?  So far, my Google searches all point to $230 from a few dealers - tubeaudiostore, musicreference, tubesUSA, etc.

 

If anyone knows of another source, I'd appreciate the intel.

Yep, $230 is pretty much around the standard price for these.  I believe I paid $245 (shipping included) almost a year ago for mine.  I got mine from TubesUSA; George was very pleasant to deal with and I recommend doing business with him.

Thanks for the reply!  I figured as much, but it certainly doesn't hurt to shop around before I part with $230+.

 

After much research, I've decided that the EML is the better rectifier upgrade vs. the Sophia Princess; this is based on reading reviews, and the fact that the EML has a woven mesh vs. the stamped plate on the Princess. 

 

Is this worth the extra $35? (EML pricing includes 1 year warranty; Princess with 1 yr warrant = $195)

 

I'll consider buying from Tubes USA.
