Good amp for Beyerdynamic DT770-80ohm Pros?

Looking to purchase Beyerdynamic DT770-80ohm Pros. For home use at computer. Have an SB0770 sound card (not enough to power the headphones, hence considering an amp).

Need an amp that will bring the potential out of these headphones but that is also a good price (around £50 if possible).

I don't know much about amps but have been told I will need one for the Beyers. I don't know if amps add anything to latency but I need it not to if possible (recording live e-drums into computer).

Thanks guys

EDIT - someone mentioned to me that I might need a DAC as well...? Getting a little confusing now.

I've seen this though, not sure if its any good http://www.amazon.co.uk/FiiO-USB-DAC-Headphone-Amplifier/dp/B003VO75V4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1293989749&sr=8-1

I've just found the Beyer Dynamic DT 770 Premium 32 OHM Headphones, perhaps these could solve my problem as they don't apparently require an amp...

32 ohm beyers are just as difficult to drive - see ohms law. I wouldn't bother buying an amp for the DT770pro. The improvements are minimal at best. You'd be better off running a better headphone with a similar tonal response from a soundcard, and potentially adding an amp later down the line.

Edit: I also wouldn't bother with a dedicated dac for the DT770pro exclusively.

So you think that the DT770-80 Pros would run fine on my soundcard? (x-fi xtreme gamer lol)

Some people unamped the bass is dramatically reduced, as is the volume. But others say they're running them fine... Right now I'm unsure whether to just play it safe and go for a pair of ATH-m50s or something... Its just the comfort of the beyers that keep drawing me back
