New Speakers around $150?

Thread Starter

Right now I use some generic Logitech X-140 speakers that I never use anymore after picking up the M50's. beyersmile.png

But now I'm looking at three sets of speakers, and someone with experience on each set to give me (well appreciated) feedback on and to help me select the best choice.

M - Audio AV40

Swan M10

Audioengine A2

I do like my bass, and my highs. I hear that the Swans are a bit weak in bass even with the sub, and the AV40's are a bit messy in bass. Care to elaborate? blink.gif

Logitech Z-2300 2.1   incase the link doesn't work?

I really hope this helps? deadhorse.giflol sorry just looks so funny.

Although it's a step down from the AV40s, I'm really impressed by the M-Audio Studiopro 3's. They sound smooth and transparent, and have good imaging. Plus, their small footprint is perfect for my desk space. I have them running through the line out of my ibasso d10's, which makes them sound much better than out of my soundcard (creative x-fi).

avoid the logitech z2300 if you don't like messy bass, the a2's have really small 2inch drivers so don't expect much bass from them the low freq responce will be poor, the swans will have the best low freq responce having a seperate 5inch sub, also consider the edifier 2.0 studio range they have larger drivers than the av40 so will have more bass.
