http://www.razordogdeals.com has them for $299 use the code 25BONES before the final checkout and the total comes to $274 with free ups ground shipping.  Ordered my hd650 from them last week and everything went smoothly.  They are a authorized dealer also.

Amazon no longer has them in stock.  They are only available through 3rd party sellers now:

Wow, right before the release of the HD-700. What a strange "coincidence".

Hopefully there isn't a sudden "supply issue" with the HD-650 also.

 

BTW the 598 I saw listed like that once. Doesn't mean much. Just maybe Amazon didn't list them as just Out of Stock.

I think I posted this before. I contacted Sennheiser in Europe a long time ago and they absolutely denied stopping production of the HD600.

The only thing they did say was it was possible that for the USA it would only be available through amazon, seems that is the case now then

The 650 is not going anywhere, its part of the HD700's pricing strategy.  I wouldn't be surprised if the hd600s goes soon. Then the 598 would be right below the 650.

The 600s are not discontinued.  Amazon.com is the sole distributor in the USA.

I can't find them anywhere. Sad if Sennheiser is using the 598 as the replacement.

They were in stock last week for $314.  Either they are out of stock at the moment or were, in fact, discontinued.  I'm so glad I bought a set back in January since they may have gone the way the of the dodo.
