Hi there all!

Just made my first leap of faith into the world of hi-fi headphones.
Was previously into ICE, but I recently moved away from my home and sold it along with my car.
Since I'm car-less, I figured what better time to move into headphones than now!

Prodded along by a mate's previous obsession with this back home,
I decided to jump in and ordered a Sennheiser HD-650 along with a Audio GD NFB-12 DAC/AMP.
I paid for my DAC/AMP via Audio GD's agents here(UK) Ampcity;
Was wondering if there were anyone else out there that did a pre-order of Audio GD products with Ampcity for a January delivery?

If so, what were your purchases and does anyone know roughly how long it'll take before it delivers?

I ordered an NFB-10ES (NON USB) FROM Amp city on dec 19th. After reading that Audio-gd have just pulled the plug on all components containing the sabre es9018 i became a little worried that i may never see my NFB-10ES. I contacted Amp city today expressing my concerns they replied very quickly and stated that products that had already been ordered containing the es9018 dac will be shipped early to mid January. Audio-gd themselves have also stated on there web-site that all pre orders of products containing the es9018 will be fulfilled, tested and dispatched.

I look forward to receiving my NFB-10ES and hope to post a review soon.

I have preferred Headphone as a transducer for audio luxury due to the strategically successful pose in real world theatrics.

That is when solid state provides electrically energy, fir mechanical transforms of this energy reciept the proximity closer to ones person rather allowing less mass and hereby inertia on the voice coil and its thralls.

Requiring less electrically energy to an aspect of an emotion considered apart from bodily changes to give equivalent since of sound as  comparitievly a full range dynamic loudspeaker having no regular form but not necessarily lacking crystalline structure.

Hello this is my first post. I want to thank any and all who acknowledge who bear an interest in high quality signal level audio matched, sporterized, and prepared for earspeakers aka headphones.

Important that the changing nature of technology of this type is to those that presuppose an interest such as ours thus =

Hey kofk,

Did you contact Ampcity via the in-built "leave a message" e-mail on their website?
Or did you e-mail them from your personal e-mail account?
I've mailed them twice asking about my purchase of the NFB-12 on the 30th and 31st Dec 2010, but there still hasn't been any reply.

Not exactly very confidence-inspiring.
Was it a general e-mail reply that you received the last time?
Or was it from a specific someone from Ampcity?

I think there may be a problem with their in-built contact form, I emailed them directly (info@ampcity.co.uk) and got a response pretty much straight away....

Hey thanks!
Haha, I actually mailed them proper (to their email address) just before I read your reply and they got back saying what you just mentioned - contact form having probs.
Read your post on the other thread regarding the delivery times - NFB-2/NFB3, which one did you get btw?
Least you'll be getting yours sometime sometime sooner than mine hopefully!

Hi Jor-EL:

I sent an e-mail to Amp-city via googlemail. The person who replied was called Yusuf and he was very specific and answered all my questions. In fact it is the THIRD time i have e-mailed them regarding my order. After reading on the Audio-gd web-site that all products housing the ES9018 dac chip are being AXED i became a little nervous. I know that it states on there site that all pre-orders will be honored, i just wanted to be sure so i contacted Amp-city as well. I would say so far the communication between myself and Amp-city has been pretty good, that is all the questions that i have asked them have been answered satisfactorily.

Just got a mail from Edwin from Audio GD saying :

"Dear Sir,
Because the NFB-12 just can be start shipping at today,so that we will arrange shipping out the UK agent goods as soon as possible, sorry about the delay"

I wonder if that means the production of the NFB-12s are done and that they will be shipping them out today/really soon?
