LOD Differences

I'm looking for a cheap LOD (Under $7, that's all I have left in my paypal account) and I was wondering if the quality of the cable really affects sound quality that much to justify spending $40+ on a LOD? Could I settle for a cheap $2 LOD from eBay; would there be a distinct difference from an ALO one? The amp I'm using is a FiiO E5, btw. (Got it as a Christmas gift)

Filo makes LODs for around that price I believe,

 

AS CLOSE AS I COULD GET YOU, CLICK HERE.

 

And the ALO docks are a huge step above the headphone output.
