I have a few hard drive magnets lying around, the really strong ones. I just found my sennheiser MX470 earbud stuck to one, facing into it. The one earbud sounds fine, but what potential problems would this have on my earbuds? I can't imagine this being too good for the cones, or whatever you call them in earbuds.

I auditioned the SRH-1840 straight out of the box, and was unsatisfied with the sound, so I decided to give them a period of break-in. Recent scientific studies have shown definite differences...

I wouldn't worry too much. If the magnet had been dislodged, you probably would have heard an issue. On the plus side, even if something went wrong, the MX470s are very inexpensive.
