8-pin DIP Socket location and battery connection

I don't know anything about building a headphone amp and need help with the PCB assembly.  I have 2 questions thus far:

1.  Where is the 8-pin DIP socket located on the PCB?  I am using a cMoyBB v2.02 Printed Circuit Board from JDS Labs.

2.  What cable do you use to connect the battery to the PCB?

Thanks for any input.  Tips are also greatly appreciated, as I am a newb.

Yes, I did.  The first step under PCB assembly is what I am having issues with.  I cannot locate the 8-pin DIP socket on the board even after consulting the Silkscreen Layer and the board itself.

DIP socket location:It's the rectangle with a notch, 8 holes, marked U1 on the PCB.

Your battery wires will connect via the V+ and V- pads
