E-MU 0404 USB issues in win7x64

Hello I've been using E-MU 0404 USB without problems in XP, however when switched to Vistax64 and now Win 7x64 it often happens to me that the sound will suddenly become muted. This usually happens while I have many youtube videos open (multiple audio soruces) in a pattern that seems to be mor or less random. Turning off the card, turning it on and then relaoding the page usually helps (logging off and on in Windows helps as well) Any ides how to fix this ? It's really annoying me to the point I want to switch to something else. This happens with official Vista drivers as well as with beta drivers for Win 7, firmware used is the latest that comes with official drivers.

This happens to me too. It was fine for a long time on Windows 7 x64 but in the past few months it'll cut out 2 or 3 times a day.

Yes 2 or 3 times a day is about right (I have the same numbers)

And interesting, mine was never ok on Win7. Have you done some firmware/driver update in the past few months ? If not could it mean that the hardware its self is faulty ?

Btw could it depend on motherboard ? But it happened to me with bios version that came with my board and also when I upgraded to latest bios. I have Asus P5Q Deluxe which is a core 2 board based on p45 chipset if that matters. I used different PC / motherboard during the Windows XP days when all worked fine.

I haven't updated the 0404 driver in a long time since EMU hasn't updated their drivers in a long time but I do update drivers for other devices every now and then. Maybe rolling back to an older version of the Intel chipset drivers would work. I have the P45 chipset too. You can try just using the digital outputs on the P5Q to run the EMU. Hopefully its a usb issue and not the 0404 itself.
