Need help finding a cheap Spdif converter

Hello everyone,

I am looking to purchase a cheap usb to spdif converter either used or if somone knows of a new one that would be great.  My current converter is being shipped back to the maker for repairs so for a month or so I am need of one to use it with my computer and dac3se.

Thank you all have a great holiday

If you already have a dac3se, I would go for the Digital Interface from the same company (Audio-gd). I have a HiFace (the most common USB to SPDIF converter), and the DI is definately better in my opinion. The synergy between DI and DAC3SE should be fantastic.

Teralink X2 will do the job too, with a couple more output options. Costs a bit less, though perhaps still not "cheap". Search for "native 96k" on ebay.

Note that digital coaxial and TOSlink optical are both technically S/PDIF. The Teralink has both types.

Here's one USB to coaxial converter that's the cheapest I am aware of:

It only does up to 16bit/48k though, if that's an issue.

Sweet Thank you both for your help.  I actually sent an email for the teralink one cause its looks like the better option as a back up if this situation happens again.

Vrin, I actually have the DI its being sent back for repairs,  I have purchased many Audio GD items over the last year and this is the first time I had an issue.  But I have to say I love the customer service, Kingwa has been nothing but a pleasure to work with on my DI issue.

Thank you all and have a wonderful New Year
