Good swivel joints are a bonus.

I've got DT150s coming sometime in the next week or two (ordered them today).  I don't really have any other avenues to try within my budget.  I liked both my DT990-600s (sold), and I like my D5000s (currently own), but they're both sibilant.  It's been a chore to find the right combination of warmth, comfort and low fatigue.  I'm looking into maybe a different DAC (got the HRT Music Streamer II headed my way) or amp, because it might be due to synergy.  This hobby is both enjoyable and frustrating simultaneously:P.

Either that or it means they're backwards...

Warm, harsh, fun, laid back, fatiguing, wide, closed, tight, hard to drive.... what did you think we were referring to?

OMG........... That's really funny! My girlfriends always refer to my headphones as "my other girlfriends." That's what gave me the idea to make love to them in the first place.

Shit.. What have i done, the headphones for sale/trade section has suddenly become a lot less inviting blink.gif

Enjoy my Sr60's, and find a nice place to stop the modding process before I break them

Develope my critical ear. Listen to more music as a primary form of entertainment and less as a secondary form or background noise

Maybe get a nice low-mid-fi portable set, something that doesn't leak too much sound and looks good out in public (Sure, wood grado's are classy, but they sure are odd), es7?

Stop there, maybe DIY a dac/amp, and not go hog wild like all of you guys. you're a terrible influence.

You've already spent too much time here. You're doomed.

I remember when I signed up for this site. All I wanted was to repair my broken sr80is. Here I am, purchasing my second rig, making plans for a speaker system, and making plans for yet another headphone setup. I was doomed the second I signed up for this site. Oh, and I forgot about my portable rig too, that needs to be updated.

Oh well. It's not the worst hobby to get into. I've learned a lot abut electronics and I get a lot of chances to make cool stuff, so I think it's worth it overall.

Spend a further £1000 on a new DAC/AMP combo for my laptop, preferably with a pair of higher end cans (AKG K701 look tempting) - Then stop til 2012 <---- HA.
