This is actually a problem with the Telechips CPU + Android 2.1(?) -- my SmartQ R10 tablet has the exact same problem.

So you say, a change of hardware is needed to bring out the D3's full potential?

The D3's port isn't a standard mini-HDMI port. The linked to plug would not work.
Does it need an extra adapter then?
