Do it.

The Cowon Iaudio 9 is not touchscreen. However, there is no expandable memory. The Fuze is good, but doesn't have the best amp or sound quality. The Hifiman HM-601 has a really good internal amp, no touch screen, expandable memory, and great sound quality. You pick.

Actually, the i9 has a touchpad, so it's not a touchscreen device. It's not for everyone, but the SQ of it (or the J3 or S9 for that matter) is excellent. Plus, the J3 & S9 have user assignable controls that can be used when the screen is on hold - sounds more like a tactile-touch hybrid actually.

I've had/have all but the i9 (I own a D2 still), and the J3 was my favorite!!! I'd have LOVED the i9, but it's lack of microSD expansion killed it for me - but it's still a wonderful player.

I use a sony NWA-A808, fantastic little player with a great UI and many silly drawbacks. I would buy the clip+ but battery life is a HUGE issue for me, and I honestly would like something that could do album art and display more than 3 tracks at a time on screen.

The i9 is a great player and the touch pad is easy to navigate once you get used to it.

But for portability, sq, and price you can't beat the clip+. (rockboxed, naturally)
