Hello, Head-FI.
I have been doing some research on the site regarding a setup for vinyl. I see a lot of recommendations for Rega and Technics products. However, I need quite a bit more guidance than just on a recommended table.
I like most folks listened to my records on a cheap modern table that can be bought at your local best buy, and have the urge to upgrade my sound and ultimately take better care of my records in the process.
So, with a 1000 dollar limit at hand (would much prefer for it to be well under that number, but if its an absolute must I can go that high), what do you guys suggest I work with? I notice a lot of people mixing and matching things like arms and cartridges and was curious about how easy that sort of thing is to set up on my own.
My main method of listening would be via headphone, but would like the ability to send the music through my speakers as well. The equipment I currently have are a pair of M-audio BX5a deluxe monitors (connected to a Cambridge Audio DACMagic) on the speaker end, and a Grado RS-1/Little Dot I+ pairing on the headphone end. Other than the items listed above, I don't have anything else to note that could go toward the build.
Thank y'all for any help provided!
