Hi, I have a pair of hd650 cans which I want to run from my computer as the source, I am also looking to buy an external dac and amp and have been looking at the nuforce icon hdp.
My question is would it be worthwhile to upgrade my current onboard realtek soundcard to say an asus xonar essence stx when I would already have an external amp/dac?
I mainly listen to hip hop, rnb, rock, electonica, pop and play games.
Also is it better to get separate amp and dac instead of an all in one combo with a budget of $600?
