iPod audio/video LOD, is this possible?

I've made a couple audio LODs for my iPod, but was wondering if it's possible to build one that includes audio and video.  So you would plug in video connectors into a TV (or similar) and playback video via that LOD.

Is this something that is possible or has anyone done it?

It exists retail so it's possible to DIY.  Check the pinout http://pinouts.ru/PortableDevices/ipod_pinout.shtml

Great, thanks for the info!  I'll try to find more information on it (like a walkthrough)

Not much really involved, just connect the wires to the right pins ;)

Should be really easy...

1. Just buy a cheap S-video cable off monoprice..

2. Buy one of those ipod connectors.

3. Cut off one end of the connectors and solder to the correct pins

4. ????

5. profit

It may not be that easy for video - I believe that the newer iPods require a special Apple licensed chip in the cables for video.

Thats right the 5.5G videos work fine but the Classics need a special chip to output the video, The original Apple universal docks have the chip which is one of the reasons they sell at such high prices

cheers
