I understand that RedWineAudio converts the headphone jack of the 4th Gen iPod into a dedicated line-out jack and while an amp is recommended, it's not really required if your head/earphones have a built-in volume attenuator or adapter.
So my question is this head-fiers, how would this iMod perform in terms of sound quality with your head/earphones plugged directly into the line-out jack using a volume attenuator and no amp? And how would you say, for earphones that are very easy to drive, such as the Audio-Technica CK10?
