How do you add links in signature?

Howdy, my computer programming illiterate self always wondered how you put links in text. I remember learning something about it in comsci 1, but I failed that class, so...

 

how do you add links in signatures? like this fellow http://www.head-fi.org/user/n%40z (I picked a user that no longer uses on this forum)

 

Your help is appreciated.

To put the link in text, you highlight the word/words, click the link button, and then go about as you would normally link something.

 

Same thing for your sig.
