I suspect that I am not the only one interested in this comparison, given that iBasso have dropped the price of the D4 to $199. Even with the $18 postage and whatever exchange rate Paypal want to levy, thats a bargain. At USD 263 total w/shipping, the P4 is also sharply priced - I just have to ask if its going to be worth the 'upgrade' from the D4.
I have had my D4 for over a year, and even though I am not impressed with the durability of the USB connection, I still rate the amp section quite highly compared to several Chinese-made products I've had in the past. I know several of you have both amps and I'm interested in your thoughts - my Grados/IEMs dont need a huge power increase, but we all know that there is more to an amp than volume. I'm interested in perceived changes in bass impact, headroom etc - feedback appreciated.
I'm still leaning toward the Stepdance, even with the (USD 140 delivered) price difference, but it wouldn't be the end of the world if I buy both. My wallet maybe, but not the world :)
