Need Help D2000 Amp/soundcard question

Hello everyone. I have recently decided to buy a new pair of headphones: the Denon D2000. However, I keep hearing that these headphones require good amplification to sound great and would appreciate some clarification regarding the topic. These headphones will be used solely on my desktop, where they will be connected to my sound card (x-fi xtreme gamer). Here are my questions:

1.) Since I already have a sound card, would it be unnecessary to buy a DAC?

2.) Since I have a sound card, would my headphones benefit well from an amp?

3.) If it is established that I do need to buy a DAC and/or an Amp, which ones work well with the D2000's?

Thank you for your time!

My budget is $250. So if I do end up buying a DAC, should I remove my sound card or will there still be some features in it that work?
