my source is an Archos AV 320... I'm playing MP3's on it ripped using EAC and encoded with LAME @ alt preset standard... it doesnt have a line out, just an audio out...
my cans are AKG 271 Studio... driven directly out of the player they reach high enough volume, but I am looking at an amp for increase in quality...
after looking around I have a few contenders, but am open to suggestions... the amps I am considering are the XIN Super Mini (if I choose this I will wait until the new PPA-based version comes out), meier audio's porta corda, and headroom's new total airhead...
I am also considering a DIY amp made by phidauex since it is quite a bit cheaper... its a cmoy amp with linkwitz crossfeed circuit... thread and picture
