OMG CTI The Cool Revolution for Jazz Lovers

I ran across this on Amazon.com. Having ripped many a CTI vinyl records to my Teac Reel to Reel via an AR Research turntable using a Shure III cartridge, and played on a Pioneer integrated amp. , and listening to the music on Koss Pro4a headphones and/or AR speakers in the 70's. I was very pleased to find this collection (having lost all of my vinyl and tapes to Father Time). Sound quality is good to excellent, a little hissy on some of the the tracks and not as rich as vinyl, but worth the listen. I am in heaven this X-mas holiday!

 

When the package arrived i thought Amazon had sent me vinyl. What a trip, the packaging looks like an LP! But it contains 4 CD's full of great CTI jazz. I had a few of the tracks from CD's but this collection is well worth your time and money even with some duplicates in your library.

CTI just brings back great memories. I remember going into a small record shop in Davenport, IA on Locust Street and finding CTI vinyl and Alligator records!

Thanks for the heads up on this, mine arrived yesterday and I'm really enjoying it.  Great music, and the faux-LP packaging is very cool.

Nice package, solid albums throughout. I specially like Red Clay and Concierto in that collection.
