LOD: mini vs RCA termination?

Newbie ?-

 iPhone, HD600 w/650 cable, Gilmore Lite

 

Researching LOD's, it makes sense that sound improves vs headphone jack.

 

Most LOD's terminate in a 1/8" mini, yet my amp inputs RCA's.

1) Are RCA outputs optimal w LOD to Gilmore Lite?

2} Why are RCA terminations rare w/LOD's?

 

3) If LOD w/RCA's make sense & you have an unused RCA terminated LOD, please PM me.

1)  Being that the Lite only has a RCA input, it would be your only choice.

2) LODs are mostly used with portable devices, with whom mini jacks are more common.

 

You could also look at an iPod dock, then use a pair of RCA cables, rather than a LOD.  Just a thought.
