So this probably way to vague of a question. However, I am curious to hear some of your opinions.
My friend is a music fanatic. I finally convinced him to improve his audio setup after 10 years of using onboard sound and $10 speakers.
His new setup consists of an ASUS Xonar DS sound card and Logitech Z623 speakers. It totalled around $200 and I feel it was a pretty solid buy.
One thing the sound card offers is swappable Op-Amps. I'm not too familiar with all of the different models. Burr Brown, Analog, Texas Instruments, National....etc.
He listens to mostly metal and classic rock. But 99% of the music is of rock origin.
So I'm sorry if I am being to vague. If more details are needed, please inform me.
